During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on 02/04/2025 and completed on 02/010/205. The on-site inspection began at 9:30 AM and ended at 12:05 PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 70 children present and 13 staff. The inspector reviewed 7 children?s records, and 7 staff on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility and interviews.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

The center must request a search of the central registry prior to the employee's first day of employment.
Staff #1, who had been employed for one weeks, did not have a central registry search requested
Plan of Correction: The center has been working on the new portal, the center will ensure that all CPS requests are sent off prior to hire.
Standard 8VAC20-780-280-B
Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

In the bathroom, a deodorizer was sitting on a shelf not accessible to the children.
Plan of Correction: The hazardous substance was removed and locked during the inspection. All staff will be reminded.

A nonabsorbent surface for diapering or changing shall be used.

The diapering pad in the mobile infant room had several tears in the plastic.
Plan of Correction: The center will purchase a new changing pad and will make sure that staff inform when tears happen.
