Inspector Notes
A mandated monitoring inspection was conducted on November 2, 2023 from 10:20am-11:45am. There were 60 children in care with 15 staff supervising. The infant classroom had an issue with heating and the infants were temporarily in the open music classroom. Once the issue was resolved, staff worked to bring the infants back to their classroom. During the switch, infant equipment was moved to accommodate the children appropriately in the temporary classroom. The transition was conducted in a orderly manner. Once infants were back in their room, additional teachers helped to bring back the borrowed equipment and belongings of the children. The pre-school class was observed going outside, staff conducted a name to face prior to exiting the classroom to the playground. Toddlers were observed playing with magnets and doing a circle time discussion about what to wear when its cold out.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
