Inspector Notes
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 1/31/24 from 2:30pm to 3:15pm with the provider. There were two children in care, ranging in age from 19-months to 20-months-old, for a total of six points. Children were observed having free play and had just finished a snack of croissants and oranges. Two child records, the provider record, and three adult household member records were reviewed. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. The provider reports that they do not give medication and understands that they must obtain certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT) in order to do so in the future. The first aid kit, flashlight, weather-band radio, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detector were observed. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
