Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 9:20 am to 10:30 am. There were 9 children (25 points) with 4 caregivers. The children were observed playing with toys, listening to a story, diapering and eating morning snack. Handwashing was observed prior to eating snack which included apples and crackers. 3 children's records, 4 caregiver's records, 1 household member record, attendance, the emergency plan, emergency drill log and first aid kit was reviewed. Violations
6Evidence: The provider's most recent CPR certification expired on 8/25/23.
Evidence: The provider's most recent first aid certification expired on 8/25/23.
Evidence: One large bottle of bleach and one spray bottle of a cleaning agent was found sitting on the daycare's kitchen counter.
Based on observation, small electrical appliances were not unplugged while not in use.
Evidence: One electric kettle and one toaster was found to be plugged in while not in use in the daycare kitchen.
Evidence: 4 children under the age of 2 years were observed playing with a toy that is recommended for children 2 years and up, as it has small parts that could pose a choking hazard.
Evidence: The written documentation on the emergency plan showed it was last updated on 7/26/22.
