Inspector Notes

This monitoring inspection was initiated by licensing staff and concluded on 04/22/2022, between the hours of 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. There were 78 preschool children present, with 15 classroom staff supervising, in a total of 7 different groups. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration; physical plant; staffing and supervision; programming; medication; special care and emergencies; and nutrition. A total of 5 children records were reviewed. Staff records will be reviewed on a later date on site at the PRCS main office in Leesburg.

Information gathered during the inspection determined that there was (1) non-compliance with an applicable standard. This violation was documented on the Violation Notice issued to the facility.

Based on review, the center had one medication that did not follow the procedures for administering.

Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (04/22/2022), the duration of authorization for the medication on site for Child #1 had expired. The authorization dates listed on this form were from 01/04/2021 to 01/04/2022.
2. Medication on site for Child #1 was outdated. This medication was observed in its container with an expiration date listed as 13 Jan 2022. The box was still sealed.
Plan of Correction: Both medication and authorization will be returned to the child's parent. Parent was contacted by phone on date of inspection (04/22/2022).
