During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 04/09/2025. The on-site inspection began at 9:30 am and ended at 11:30 am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were (91) children present and (15) staff. The inspector reviewed (5) children?s records on-site on 04/09/2025. Staff files are checked on an annual basis through the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services' main office in Leesburg.

This inspection included: document review (i.e. files, Injury logs (IROMT previously submitted online), policies and procedures, emergency drill logs, medication, administration logs, authorization forms); tour of the facility; interviews; and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

A container of disinfecting wipes, with the warning label, ?Keep out of reach of children,? was being stored out in the open in the three-year-old classroom's bathroom (Room #7).
Plan of Correction: Corrected on the date of inspection. The cleaning supplies were moved to a secured area in the center office.

Prescription medication may be given if the center administers only those drugs that were dispensed from a pharmacy and maintained in the original, labeled container.

There was no original, labeled container for medication to be administered on an as needed basis for Child #5.
Plan of Correction: The center will reach out to the parents of Child #5 in order to obtain the original container.
