Inspector Notes

An in-person mandated monitoring inspection was conducted on July 21, 2022 from 10:00am until 11:00am. There were 8 children present (12 points) with 1 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. Children were observed playing with dolls, coloring and playing freely. A total of 3 child records, 1 staff record and 2 household member records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, furnishing outside of the family day home were not maintained in a safe and operable condition.

Evidence: The outdoor playground is in disrepair. The structure is not level and leaning to one side. The playground structures legs are deteriorating and the wood that meets the ground is splintered and fall apart.

Based on observation and interview, trampolines were utilized during the hours children are in care.

Evidence: There are two trampolines on the premises. One large trampoline in the larger grassy backyard and one small trampoline in the smaller mulched play area. Both provider and children stated that trampolines were utilized by children while in care.
