Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, and a virtual tour of the program.

A renewal inspection was initiated on 08/24/2021 and concluded on 08/25/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 9 children present, ranging in ages from 6 months to 3 years, with the provider and 2 caregivers supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical environment and equipment, personnel, household members, physical health of caregivers, background checks, care of children, preventing the spread of disease, emergencies, and nutrition. A total of 2 child records and 2 caregiver records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review, the provider did not obtain the results of a search of the Virginia Central Registry every five years as required for one caregiver.

Evidence:
