Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on July 13, 2023 and concluded on July 17, 2023. There were 64 children present with 11 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Based on review of six staff records, the center did not ensure all staff who work directly with children obtain current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care within 90 days of employment.

Evidence:

The record of staff #6 contained documentation of CPR certification that expired on 05/27/2021. The director stated the staff members had not renewed the CPR certification.
Plan of Correction: Per the director: We will schedule a class to ensure all staff have current CPR certification.
