Children were learning to hold their pencil and write letters and words, tracing, cutting, gluing, washing hands and eating lunch during the inspection. Lunch included: grilled cheese sandwich, carrots, apples, and milk. Caregivers were actively engaged with the children, leading activities, and promptly tending to the needs of the children. The daycare areas of the home were found to be clean and well supplied with toys and equipment for the children. Areas of non-compliance with standards and laws reviewed were found. Plan of Correction: The provider said the TB tests will be completed.
Standard 8VAC20-800-210-A
Based on records reviewed, the provider failed to ensure that there was documentation of a minimum of 16 hours of annual training for a caregiver. Evidence: 0 of 16 hours of annual training was documented for Caregiver #2.
Plan of Correction: The provider said that Caregiver #2 has completed the required training but that training certificates were deleted from the computer by accident. The provider said that she will get the training certificates for 2022-2023 and put them in Caregiver #2's file.
