During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on and completed on 8/20/2025. The on-site inspection began at 3:00pm and ended at 5:05pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were twelve children present and three caregivers; the point total was 27. The inspector reviewed five children?s records and six caregiver/household members records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-800-240-A
'Areas and furnishings of the family day home, inside and outside, shall be
maintained in a clean, safe, and operable condition. The door from the basement to the outdoor play area was damaged with rough edges.
Plan of Correction: The provider will have the door repaired.
Standard 8VAC20-800-530-F
No soft bedding of any kind shall be used under or around infants including, but
not limited to, pillows, quilts, comforters, sheepskins, or stuffed toys. Fabric rail covers were found on the railing of cribs being used by infants.
Plan of Correction: The provider will remove the rail covers from the cribs.
