Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 2/27/2023 at approximately 2:03pm and concluded on 2/27/2023 and approximately 3:10pm. There were a total of 62 children with 10 staff members present. Children were observed during nap time, and engaged in group activities. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 6 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation and discussion with staff, the center did not ensure that purses containing cosmetics, medications or other harmful agents were stored in areas not accessible to children.

Evidence: There was a purse on a low ledge in the children's bathroom. The purse was accessible to children.
Plan of Correction: The purse was moved to a space not accessible to children during the inspection.
