Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on January 9th, 2023. There were 47 children present with 11 staff supervising. The physical plant, evacuation logs, attendance logs, emergency preparedness procedures, cribs, children's records, staff records, first aid kits, medications and medication authorizations were reviewed. The children were observed playing with floor toys, in circle time and singing songs. Areas of non-compliance were cited on the Violation Notice. Based on a review of medications, the center failed to ensure that medication shall be labeled with the child's name, the name of the medication, the dosage amount and the time or times to be given.

Evidence:
Child #6's medication did not have a label with the child's name, medication name or dosage or time to be administered.
Plan of Correction: Parent contacted during inspection, will bring in the prescription for the medication.
