Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. A total of 3 children were present at the beginning of the inspection and an additional 3 children arrived during the inspection for a total of 6 children (17pts) with the Provider and 1 assistant. The children were observed playing freely in the programming space and interacting with the staff. One child was observed being fed by staff who arrived later. Observation of the programming space to include the second room that had cribs and cots, the bathroom and diaper changing area and the backyard was made. The home was neat and maintained and had toys, equipment and furnishings that were determined age and stage appropriate for the children in care. A total of 4 children's records and the provider's record was reviewed. As a reminder a TB screening is due every two years. The previous violations from the last inspection were reviewed and the corrective actions were verified. As discussed please use the updated DOE forms for enrollment. This inspection occurred between 9:45am and 11am. Thank you for your cooperation today. Please email me at: lisa.hudson@doe.virginia.gov with any questions.
