During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on January 15, 2025. The on-site inspection began at 10:45am and ended at 11:45am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 7 children present and 2 caregivers; the point total was 21. The inspector reviewed 3 children's records and 2 caregivers' records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the home, interviews, and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program

Standard 22.1-289.011-F
The license and any other documents required by the Superintendent shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises.

The inspection notice dated 02/2023 was posted instead of the current inspection that was conducted on 09/2024.
Plan of Correction: I don't have a printer, but I will go to my sister's house to get her to print the report for me. I will post the current inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-800-210-A
Caregivers shall obtain a minimum of 16 clock hours of training annually. None of the caregivers (#1,and #2) completed 16 hours of training in 2024.
Plan of Correction: It's difficult to find in-person training on the weekend and I don't have a computer. We will figure out a way to complete the 16 hours this year.
Standard 8VAC20-800-830-A
The emergency evacuation procedures shall be practiced monthly with all caregivers and children in care during all shifts that children are in care.

The last documentation of a practiced emergency evacuation was conducted in August 2024.
Plan of Correction: We will start practicing evacuation procedures this month and practice each month.
Standard 8VAC20-800-830-B
Shelter-in-place procedures shall be practiced a minimum of twice per year. There was documentation only for one practiced shelter-in-place for 2024.
Plan of Correction: We will be sure to practice shelter-in-place procedures twice a year.
Standard 8VAC20-800-90-A
Before attendance, documentation of immunizations is to be obtained for each child.
There was no documentation of immunizations for child #2, who was in care during the inspection and had been in care for more than 8 days.
Plan of Correction: I will text the parents to bring the immunization record today. I will make sure I have the immunization record in the future.
