Inspector Notes

An unannounced inspection was conducted this date. There were a total of 40 children in attendance with 8 staff present today. When the Licensing Inspector arrived, the children were transitioning to the pick up procedures. Some children were observed remaining for the extended program which ends at 2:30pm. Walk thru of all classrooms in use, bathrooms and large gross motor room. Classrooms were equipped with individual caddy's for designated supplies such as crayons playdoh and other materials. The walls throughout the program were decorated with artwork and projects that had been completed by the children. A total of 3 children's files and 3 staff files were reviewed. Based on observation of classrooms, one area was not free from an injury hazard.
The last classroom located on the lower level had an area of chipped and peeling paint. This are is accessible to the children in care.
Plan of Correction: Maintenance plans to repaint or repair this are prior to the fall school year. We will cover this area immediately to prevent access from children.
