Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted at the center on 9/11/2023 from 3:35 pm to 4:20 pm, and records were checked in the main office on 9/18/2023 from 1:40 pm to 4 pm. There were 9 children in care, ages five years to ten years, in one group under the care of two staff. The Licensing Inspector reviewed three children?s records, four staff records, and other program records. The children were observed doing homework and working on projects.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, the center failed to conduct a monthly practice evacuation drill.

EVIDENCE:
The center?s written documentation of the drills shows that no drill was conducted in May 2023.
Plan of Correction: From now on, evacuation drills will be done one time a month for every month the after school program is operating.
