Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on Monday, June 27, 2022 and concluded on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. There were 64 children present, ranging in ages from infants to school aged children with 11 staff supervising during the in person inspection observation at the center. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 3 child records and 4 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on review of staff records and interview, the center did not ensure the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course completed within 90 calendar days of employment.

Evidence: In Staff#3's record (date of hire 11/15/21), there was no documentation found for completion of the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation. Interview with staff confirmed the course had not been completed by staff at this time.
