Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 3:15 pm- 4:20 pm. There were 31 children directly supervised by 4 staff. The physical plant, 4 staff records, 4 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, arriving into care and preparing for snack. Hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an ample supply of materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based upon observation areas and equipment were not kept in safe condition.
Evidence: The floor board in the eagles classroom was not connected to the floor and is a tripping hazard.
Plan of Correction: We will fix with liquid nails. Company needs to fix floors.
Standard 8VAC20-780-290-A-3
Based on observation, electrical outlets did not have protective cover as required.

Evidence: The Tigers classroom has an outlet by the table that did not have required cover.
Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection.
