During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was completed on 4/29/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 7:40 am and ended at 8:30 am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 3 children present and 2 staff. The inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 2 staff records on-site.

This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition including chipped or peeling paint.

Two classrooms had multiple spots of chipped and peeling paint and damage to the drywall.
Plan of Correction: We are waiting on building permits until we make repairs.
Standard 8VAC20-780-340-C
During the stated hours of operation, there always shall be on the premises and on field trips when one or more children are present one staff member who meets the qualifications of a program leader or program director and an immediately available staff member, volunteer or other employee who is at least 16 years of age, with direct means for communication between the two of them.
On 4/29/2025 there were 2 children in care with 1 staff member present from 7:30 am until 7:50 am until the children were driven to school and the second staff arrived.
Plan of Correction: We had multiple sick staff yesterday and the person scheduled to open this morning did not come in. Our owner is on the way.
