Inspector Notes

An inspection was conducted today between 11:00am and 12:30pm. There were 88 children present with 20 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, and emergencies. The children were observed coloring, playing games, building with Legos and working on an art project. A total of 12 staff records and 8 child records were reviewed. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.

Based on review of staff records, the child day center did not complete a central registry search every five years for staff who have live outside the state of Virginia.
Evidence
Staff #1, who lives outside the state of Virginia, did not have an out of state central registry search completed every five years.
Plan of Correction: I will complete the missing out of state background check and send the results to my inspector when they are received.

Based on review of children's records, each child does not have a physical examination within 30 days of their first day of attendance (10/10/23).
Plan of Correction: I will get the physical for the child and make sure we always get the physical for new children with 30 days of their first day of attendance.
