Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 11/16/22 from 8:35am to 10:05am with the provider and an assistant. There were eight children in care, ranging in age from six-months to four-years-old, for a total of 24 points. Children were observed finishing breakfast, washing hands, reading the books ?P is for Potty? and ?Why Does It Fall Over?, discussing balance, building block towers, dancing, and painting. Four child records, the provider record and one assistant record were reviewed. The provider and assistant have current certification in CPR and First Aid. The provider does not currently give medication and understands that they must obtain certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT) in order to do so. The emergency drill log, attendance, menu, and other postings were also reviewed. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
