Inspector Notes
An unannounced code compliance renewal inspection was conducted on October 25, 2023, approximately 11:15 am to 12:25 pm. There were 37 children present, ranging in ages from three to five years, with 8 supervising staff. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision and procedures. A total of 3 children?s records and 8 staff records were reviewed. Medications on-site were reviewed.
The children were observed outdoor play and eating individual snacks. Handwashing was observed as the children transition to eating snack.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

1. Staff #5 criminal history results expired on 8/01/2023 and child abuse and neglect results expired on 10/21/2021.
2. Staff #7 criminal history results expired on 8/22/2023 and child abuse and neglect results expired on 4/12/2023.

o Center Director shared the link for the teachers to schedule their fingerprint search.
o Center Director initiated the search on the online portal for the child abuse and neglect
search. Center Director explained the steps for the new online portal search to the
teachers and offered help if needed along the way.
o Center Director will share the results with the Inspector as soon as received.
o Center Director made immediate notes on the physical files of the teachers found to be
in need of updated searches.
o Center Director has updated the hiring process for new hires to include a notification
that those searches will be needed every 5 years.
o Center Director reviewed all other teacher files to make note of any upcoming search
needs. She created calendar reminders so that during the rehiring process in coming
school years, those files will be automatically flagged. At that point, Center Director will
notify those staff members to get started on those updated searches needed.

Steps were immediately taken to correct this. Center Director will share all documentation with
the Inspector as soon as received.
