Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today between 10:10am and 12:00pm. There were 9 children present with the Provider and 1 assistant for a total of 23 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed signing, coloring, building with blocks, and eating lunch. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, fire drill log, menu, attendance and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Based on staff file review, all caregivers had not obtained a minimum of 16 clock hours of training annually in areas relevant to their job responsibilities.

Evidence: Staff #1 did not have 16 clock hours of training annually.
Plan of Correction: Provider will ensure assistant obtains 16 hours of training annually.

Based on observation, unsafe conditions were found at the home.

Evidence: Wires and electrical outlets without caps were found inside an unlocked storage room.
Plan of Correction: Provider will put a lock on the door to the storage room.
