Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on 7/2/2024 and completed on 7/2/2024. The on-site inspection began at 10:30am and ended at 12:00pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 8 children present (21 points) and 2 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 2 staff and household records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the home, interviews, and observations of the program. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of household records, a central registry check was not completed within 30 days of a person in the home becoming 14 years old.

Evidence: Household member #4 did not have a central registry check within 30 days of becoming 14.
Plan of Correction: Provider will complete a central registry check for the household member and send a copy of the results to the inspector.
Standard 8VAC20-800-240-A
Based on observation furnishings of the family day home were not maintained in a clean and operable conditions.

Evidence: A child's toilet seat was not maintained in a clean condition.
Plan of Correction: Provider will replace the child's toilet seat with a new one.

Based on review of emergency supplies, the first aid kit did not contain tweezers.

Evidence: Tweezers were not in the first aid kit.
Plan of Correction: Provider will obtain tweezers and add them to the first aid kit.
