Inspector Notes
A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on 12/15/2022 with the center staff. There were 49 children present with 5 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Records were emailed 1/04/2023.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-790-600-B
Based on review of two staff records, the facility failed to have staff take Virginia Preservice training for Child Care Staff within 90 days of employment. Evidence: Staff A (date of employment 6/9/2022) and Staff B (date of employment 11/30/2021) did not have documentation of Virginia Preservice Training.
Plan of Correction: Staff will take VA Preservice training.
Standard 8VAC20-790-600-D-1
Based on review of two staff records, the facility failed to have staff certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) within 90 days of employment. Evidence: Staff A (date of employment 6/9/2022) and Staff B (date of employment 11/30/2021) did not have documentation of CPR certification.
Plan of Correction: Staff will get CPR certification.
Standard 8VAC20-790-600-D-2
Based on review of two staff records, the facility failed to have staff certified in first aid within 90 days of employment. Evidence: Staff A (date of employment 6/9/2022) and Staff B (date of employment 11/30/2021) did not have documentation of first aid certification.
Plan of Correction: Staff will get first aid certification.
