Inspector Notes
An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on May 16, 2024 and the inspection concluded on May 22, 2024. The on-site inspection began at 3:30 p.m. and ended at 5:00 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 39 children present and 4 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records on site and 2 staff records electronically on May 22, 2024. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Repeat violation: Staff shall complete the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course (VA Pre-service) within 90 days of employment. Staff 1 did not have documentation of having completed the VA Dept of Education sponsored orientation course within 90 days of employment.
Plan of Correction: Staff 1 will complete the 10 hour VA Preservice training.

The center shall implement a monthly practice evacuation drill. There was no documentation that an evacuation drill was conducted April 2024.
