Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 02/27/2023 between the hours of approximately 2:20 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. There were 11 children present with the Provider and 1 assistant for a total of 24 points. The Family Day Home was within supervision guidelines for points. However, the family day home exceeded capacity. The children were observed napping. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children records, fire drill log, menu, and attendance were observed during this inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation, the provider did not ensure that the total number of children receiving care at any one time does not exceed the maximum licensed capacity of the home.

Evidence: The provider?s maximum licensed capacity is 10. At the time of inspection, there were 11 children present.
Plan of Correction: I will not take another kid when I am at capacity.

Based on record review, emergency evacuation procedures were not practiced monthly.

Evidence: An emergency evacuation procedure was not practiced in December 2022 or January 2023.
Plan of Correction: We will do them monthly.
