Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on 03/03/2026 as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 11:30am and ended at 1:30am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 53 children present and 9 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 8 staff records. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations and measurements. Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 22.1-289.035-B-2
Staff are required to have the results of fingerprinting before they work with children.
Staff #5 was hired on 10/14/2024 and fingerprinting came back on 10/18/2024.
Plan of Correction: The staff was hired prior to the current director being hired. The director will ensure all staff that are hired moving forward do not start work until fingerprints are back.
Standard 8VAC20-780-430-K
Provision shall be made for an individual place for each child's personal belongings. Backpacks belonging to children were hung in the hallway on hooks that were not identified as an individual place for children's belongings.
Plan of Correction: The center will label the hooks and spaces to ensure each child receives an individual place for their belongings.
