Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was conducted on 8/24/2023. There were a total of 6 children ( 15 points) observed with 3 caregivers present. The children were engaged in the following: toy play, and fish art.. The home, 1 new child records, 1 new caregiver records,(all other records are current from last inspection) evacuation drills, attendance, and emergency supplies were inspected. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on a review of caregiver record and provider interview, a caregiver has not obtained the results from the central registry 45 days after the request was made.
Evidence: Caregiver #1, date of employment 3/15/2023 does not have documentation of he central registry results. The caregiver was observed caring for children this date.
Plan of Correction: The provider will contact central registry and ask where the results are for the caregiver. The results will be forwarded to the inspector and then filed in the caregivers record.

Based on a review of caregiver records, 1 record does not have at least 2 references before employment.
Evidence: Caregiver #1, date of employment 3/15/2023 only has 1 of the 2 required reference checks. The caregiver was observed caring for the children this date.
Plan of Correction: The provider will obtain another reference for the caregiver and file in the caregivers record.
