Inspector Notes

A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 3/25/2024 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of 2 children were present with 1 caregiver. The children were engaged in the following: coloring and reading books. Diapering and handwashing procedures were also observed and in compliance. Programming, menu, emergency procedures, 3 medications, and 2 children?s records, 1 staff record, and 4 household member records were reviewed.

A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Based on record review, the provider did not obtain a written care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.
