Standard 8VAC20-780-245-A
Staff shall complete a minimum of 16 hours of training annually, appropriate to the age of children in care.
Staff #3 had no annual training completed for 2025.
Plan of Correction: Staff #3 is a sub who fills in very frequently however, will get her training she needs.
Standard 8VAC20-780-340-A
When staff are supervising children, they shall always ensure their care, protection, and guidance.

In Classroom #1, staff were unaware that Child 4 (19 months old) had emergency medication on site for a severe food allergy. The child was present during the inspection.
Plan of Correction: This has been corrected.
Standard 8VAC20-780-40-M
The center shall maintain, in a way that is accessible to all staff who work with children, a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions documented in the allergy plan required. This list shall be dated and kept confidential in each room or area where children are present.

The list in classroom #1 was not up-to-date. There was a child with diagnosed allergies requiring emergency medication present in the classroom. The child was not on the allergy list.

Standard 8VAC20-780-60-A-8
A written care plan is required for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.

Staff #1 was aware of a diagnosed food allergy for Child 1 (19 months old) for approximately 2 months. The allergy care plan for Child 1 was not updated to include the new allergy.
