Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 5/9/2023 and concluded on 5/9/2023. There were nine children present with two staff supervising. The point total was 27. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records, one staff and one HHM records were reviewed. The inspection started at 9:30 am and concluded at 11:30 am.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation the provider failed to ensure that potentially poisonous substances, materials and supplies such as, but not limited to, cleaning agents, disinfectants, deodorizers, plant care chemicals, pesticides, and petroleum distillates shall be stored away from food in areas inaccessible to children.
Evidence:
Located in the dining room on top of an approximately three foot cabinet was a can of Lysol spray and a can of Febreze spray. These items were accessible to the children.
Plan of Correction: The spray cans were removed and placed in a locked area.
