Inspector Notes

An unannounced Monitoring Inspection was conducted today. A total of 10 children (25pts) with 4 staff were onsite. The children were observed sitting at tables and high chairs eating lunch. Staff were assisting children with eating and serving second helpings. Lunch today was chicken and waffles. Artwork was found drying or on display such as tissue paper trees and butterflies and peacocks. A nice transition was observed from lunch to washing hands and preparing for nap time. After toileting and diaper changes, the children sat on the carpeted area with the provider. The provider sand the "last song" of ABC's before nap time. All but one child were directed to their cots. One infant remained up with staff. A total of 4 children's records were reviewed. No new staff hired since the last inspection. All background checks and certifications remain current at this time. Both program rooms, the bathroom, crib room and outdoor play area was found well maintained and organized. Equipment and toys were determined age and stage appropriate for the children currently in care. This inspection occurred between 11:30am and 12:45am.
