Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was conducted today between 10:15am and 12:30pm. There were 102 children present, with 21 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. The children were story time, getting ready for lunch, playing with table toys, building, and painting. A total of 10 child records and 6 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation, when food is brought from home, it was not clearly labeled to identify the owner and current date.
Evidence
When children brought food from home, it was no clearlyt labeled with the current date in the Creative Arts, Math & Science and Language Arts classroom.
Plan of Correction: We will have the teachers double check to make sure every container is clearly labeled with child's name and current date.

Based on review of child records, the center did not maintain a complete record for each child enrolled.
Evidence
The record for child #1 did not contain an address for the second emergency contact.
Plan of Correction: We will get the address and make sure we have the name, address and phone number for two emergency contacts.
