Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 06/24/2022. The inspector was on site from 11:25am until 1:20pm.
There were 89 children under the supervision of 17 staff members. The ages of the children ranged form 2 to 12 years old. Children were observed during meal and bathroom time. Five children's records and six staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Violations
2Evidence: Licensing Inspector observed in the following hazards:
1.In the School Age classroom the Inspector observed an uncovered pencil sharpener with open blades exposed. This poses a hazard to the children in care.
2. Inspector observed a protruding steel rod coming out of the blacktop where children play. This poses a tripping and impalement hazard.
3. Observed a step on the back deck that was elevated higher than the other steps. This creates a tripping hazard.
4. Observed standing water in outdoor tables that were approximately a foot and a half deep, with about an inch of water inside. Posed a hazard to children..
Steel rod will be cut out of the ground.
Water tables were dumped immediately.
Evidence: Observed non-measurable amount of resilient surfacing under the required fall zone of the swings.
The required amount is 6 inches of woodchips.
