Inspector Notes
Conducted an unannounced inspection at 10:30am. Observed 56 children + 18 direct-care staff. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Children were observed in a variety of activities, to include: writing the letter ?e + E?, story time, washing hands, eating snack, and going outside for active play in a nearby park. As part of the language emersion program interactions between children and staff were in Spanish, French, and Mandarin, as applicable to a given class. Staff were actively engaged with the children and leading activities. Classrooms were found to be clean and well supplied with equipment for the children. Areas of non-compliance with standards and laws reviewed were found. Questions about this inspection may be directed to pamela.sneed@doe.virginia.gov
Violations
2Evidence:
1. Staff #6 ? There was no documentation of a completed central registry check (CPS).
2. The 1st date of employment was 7/18/22.
3. A mailing receipt dated 10/17/22 was provided to the inspector as proof of the CPS check being mailed to the State for processing.
4. The CPS check was not submitted within the 1st 30-days of employment.
