Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 2:45 - 4:00pm with the provider. There were nine children in care, ranging from six months to five years of age, for a total of 19 points. Children were observed napping, waking, and eating snack, which is brought from home. Two child records, four caregiver/household member records, the emergency drill log, daily attendance, and the required posted information was reviewed. The provider is not certified in Medication Administration Training (MAT) and cannot administer medication to children in care.

Based on review of documentation, it was determined that the provider did not obtain a TB test/screening for each adult household member every two years, as required. Evidence: the record for household member #2 had a TB test/screening dated: 9/11/2020 and the record for household member #3 had a TB test/screening dated: 11/1/2020.

Based on review of documentation, it was determined that the family day home did not keep a written record of children in attendance each day. Evidence: there was no written record of the nine children in attendance for 3/8/2023.
