Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A complaint inspection was initiated on May 27, 2021 and concluded on June 8, 2021. A complaint was received by the department regarding allegations in the areas of supervision (ratios), hazardous items on the playground, spacing of mats during rest time, and an injury to a child while on the playground. The in-charge person was contacted outside by the playground and by telephone to conduct the investigation. Eight staff were interviewed and the injury report was reviewed.

The evidence gathered during the investigation did not support the allegations of non-compliance with standards or law.
