Violations

1
Standard 8VAC20-800-560-B
Based on interview, the caregiver failed to actively supervise each child during outdoor play.
Evidence:
On 04/05/2024, the caregiver (provider) went inside with one child, leaving eight children (ages two to ten years old) outside. While inside, the caregiver saw Child #1, three years old, walk down the driveway towards West Main Street (2 lanes, 25 miles per hour). Before the provider was able to catch Child #1, a passerby stopped and blocked traffic as Child #1 had made it to West Main Street.
Plan of Correction: We have changed the way we go outside. Have placed a lock on gate.
Making sure if I have to com in to bring everyone under age of 7 inside.
