Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on October 1, 2024. The on-site inspection began at 11:30am and ended at 2:15pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 24 children present and 6 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-140-B
If the child has had a physical examination prior to attendance, it shall be within 12 months prior to attendance for children two years of age through five years of age.

The physical examination for child #2 (age 3) was completed 12 months and 2 weeks prior to the date of attendance.
Plan of Correction: Follow up with the family and get the most current copy of child's physical.

The center shall implement a monthly practice evacuation drill.

The center did not implement a monthly practice evacuation drill during the month of March 2024.
Plan of Correction: Ensure that we complete at least 1 fire drill a month moving forward
