Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on May 30, 2023, from 12:23pm to 1:48pm with the provider. There were 4 children in care, ages 6 months, 3, 5 and 5 years old, were in the care of the caregiver for a total of 8 points. The children were observed during nap time and the infant was observed interacting with the provider. Three children?s records were reviewed and in compliance. The provider record and two household member records were reviewed and in compliance. The first aid kit, flashlight, and battery-operated radio were observed and in compliance. The most recent emergency escape drill was documented as May 22, 2023. The most recent shelter-in-place was documented as August 10, 2022.

Based on a review of documentation, the family day home provider did not obtain a subsequent Tuberculosis (TB) screening for each adult household member every two years. Evidence: Household member #1?s most recent tuberculosis screening was dated 6/7/2019.
Plan of Correction: The household member will schedule an appointment to have an update tuberculosis screening completed and documentation will be forwarded to the inspector and placed in their record.
