Violations

1
Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
Based on observations, all areas and equipment inside and outside shall be maintained in safe and operable condition.

Evidence:

1.In the infant room, the baseboard trim was not fully around the borders of the wall, near the door, exposing wall plaster and tiny particles of plaster around the base.

2. On the outside playground, a rusted bar was identified inside of the climbing rock wall, next to the picnic table.

3. On the outside playground, several pieces of playground equipment were identified with broken parts, exposing pointing edges; the brown tree base with purple butterfly and pink slide was broken in two areas, picnic table inside the rock climbing wall was broken along the edges of the tabletop and tree top was disconnected and lying on the ground , cracked down the middle.
Plan of Correction: (Infant Room) Upon my inspection of the infant room I did not see any paint chips on the floor nor pieces of any structure on the floor for our babies to put in their mouths. The shoe moulding was no longer around the door due to weather related issues. We will fix this issue over this weekend to allow time for the glue on the moulding to dry.

(Playground) I immediately went on the playground to tape up the edges of broken nonremovable objects. All other objects were removed from the area. We plan to remove the large parts of broken objects over the weekend.
