Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was conducted on June 14, 2024 from 10:40 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 12 children present and 3 caregivers. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 3 caregiver's records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-800-730-D
Medication shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. There were several medications in an unlocked cabinet above the refrigerator.
Plan of Correction: Medications will be locked.
Standard 8VAC20-800-990-B
The provider shall ensure that during transportation of children the driver has the name, address, and telephone number of the family day home. The provider did not have this information available in the vehicle.
