Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted beginning at 9:30 a.m. and ending at 10:45 a.m. There was one child in care, age 6 months, total of 4 points with the provider supervising. The child was observed in an infant high chair, being held, put down for rest time and napping. One child's file and one provider record was reviewed.

The provider has a complete first aid kit, emergency battery operated radio and flashlight. The provider had documentation of 11 hours of annual training during the inspection. The provider has until 7/31/2022 to complete an additional 5 hours of training.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or laws and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of documentation, there was no documentation of a physical exam within 30 days of the child's attendance. Evidence: Child #1, first day of attendance 2/21/2022, did not have a physical in the file.

Based on observation, an infant high chair did not have the safety straps installed or securely fastened. Evidence: A six month old was observed in an ingenuity brand infant high chair booster seat with the tray closed but no safety straps installed or fastened.
