Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on October 28, 2024. The on-site inspection began at 9:40 am and ended at 11:15 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 7 children present and 2 caregivers. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records, 2 caregiver records and 2 household member records on-site. This inspection included a tour of the FDH, observations, interviews, and document review.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on 10/04/2024. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Household members 14 years of age and older must obtain the results of a central registry search by the end of the 30th day or residency.

Standard 8VAC20-800-830-A
The provider shall ensure that emergency evacuation procedures shall be practiced monthly with all caregivers and children in care during all shifts that children are in care.

1. There was no documentation that emergency evacuation drills were practiced between May-August 2024.
2. The provider verified that drills had not been conducted during the summer months.
