Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted March 18, 2024 between the hours of 1:12pm - 2:45pm. There were 8 children directly supervised by 3 caregivers. The home, 3 caregiver records, 5 children?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed napping, handwashing, playing freely, eating snack and diapering. There was an assortment of age-appropriate materials for children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on record review, the provider did not ensure to document in writing each review and update to the emergency plan.
Evidence:
1) The last documented review of the emergency plan was signed and dated 03/13/2019.
Plan of Correction: I will date and sign the review of my Emergency Preparedness Plan.
Standard 8VAC20-800-90-C
Based on record review, 1 of 5 children records did not contain documentation of additional immunizations for a child (who was not exempt from the immunization requirements according to subsection B of this section) once every six months for any child under the age of two years.
Evidence:
1) The current immunization documentation on file for Child #1 (date of birth: 03/10/2022) was dated - 04/12/2023.
Plan of Correction: I will get an updated record from the parents.
