Areas and furnishings of the family day home, outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
The metal fence on the outside playground had sharp metal exposed and two large holes, measuring approximately 7 inches by 10 inches and the other 8 inches by 11 inches.

Plan of Correction: The facility takes full responsibility for this oversight and has made arrangements to repair this area of the fence.

Small electrical appliances shall be unplugged unless being used by the caregiver or with children under close supervision.
In the kitchen, the coffee pot, electric kettle and compact grill were plugged in and not in use. A candle in an upstairs bedroom was lit and left unattended.

While the facility intends to comply with all regulation standards, it would also like to highlight for public record that the physical areas where the violation was observed is inaccessible to all children under the care of the child day program.
