A self-reported monitoring inspection was initiated on 3/27/24 and concluded on 3/27/24. The inspector reviewed compliance in the area of programming. The inspection started at 2:44pm and concluded at 3:30pm.
The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

The center failed to ensure that physical punishment, striking a child, roughly handling or shaking a child, restricting movement through binding or tying, forcing a child to assume an uncomfortable position, or exercise as punishment does not occur.
Evidence:
A review of video footage for 3/21/24 shows staff #1 grab child #1 , 2 year old, between the wrist and elbow of one arm and lift her off the ground to move her to the wanted location on 2 separate occasions at approximately 8:21am. The childs feet were not able to touch the floor during the two incidents.

Plan of Correction: Administration reviewed the video footage and removed the staff member from the classroom. Procedures and policies were followed for an internal investigation; resulting in dismissal from employment. Proper agencies were also notified of this incident through self-reporting. Staff will be reminded of and retrained if needed on appropriate actions and guidance of children.
