Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on August 30, 2022. There were 56 children present with 8 staff supervising. Children were observed in circle time, painting, stringing beads, library, cutting fruits and vegetables and pretend play. There was positive interaction between the children and teachers. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care, staff and children?s files, first aid kit, and emergency procedures. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation and interview, a Central Registry finding was not received within the 30 days of employment.
Evidence:
1.Staff #3 Central registry results was dated 6/27/22 and staff was hired on 2/22/22.
2. Director acknowledge they did not mail the form after the form was received back for correction.
Plan of Correction: We will be more careful in the future.

Based on observation, preschool staff did not wash their hands with soap and running water before and after helping a child use the toilet.
Evidence: Staff did not wash hands before or after helping a child use the toilet.
Plan of Correction: Director corrected the teacher immediately on proper hand washing procedures.
